Australian Financial Risk Management Pty Ltd (AFRM) acknowledges and respects the privacy of individuals.
In order to provide you with financial advice we need to collect personal information from you and your financial advocate. The information that we collect is “personal information” as defined by the Privacy Act 1998 (the “Act”).
We use this personal information to “field” underwrite, both financially and medically.
The types of organisations to whom we may need to disclose your personal information are:
- Insurance Companies for the purpose of financially or medically assessing yourapplication or claim.
- Reinsurance organisations for the purpose of underwriting your application and assessing claims
- Organisations undertaking review/audit of our practice ie ASIC.
- Your accountant, financial planner or solicitor.
We will only disclose your personal information to these organisations to enable them to undertake specified management and administration services. Your health information will only be disclosed to the insurance companies for the purpose of underwriting your applications and only those that are directly involved in underwriting or assessment of any claims.
The provision of this information is voluntary, but if this information is not provided, AFRM may be unable to analyse your risks and make an assessment of your requirements.
You have a right of access to, and alteration of, personal information concerning yourself in accordance with the act. The information is being collected by AFRM and will be held by AFRM.All files on the AFRM server are protected via Windows NT file system.
